Usage

  • suppress

    When something is suppressed, it is blocked from occurring or kept in check in some way.

  • impress

    When you impress someone, you do such a great job at something that the other person thinks it's really good and so is filled with praise for it.

  • depress

    If someone is depressed by something, they become unhappy and disappointed with life for a long period of time, and so they don't really want to do much of anything.

  • express

    When you express your thoughts or feelings about something, you say them or talk about them.
